I have decided to offer up a very nice 16-gauge JP Sauer and Sohn manufactured in Suhl Germany. This SxS gun was manufactured in 1929 and is in great condition for its age. Gun weighs 6.3 pounds and is sweet to carry and swing with the slim splinter forend and longer barrels.
Both bores of the 29 1/2" barrels are bright and shiny. Barrel bluing is in nice condition showing normal patina from age and minor wear from usage. Receiver locks up very tight and has very nice hand engraving. Gun is chambered for 2 1/2-inch shells. I will include a couple boxes of shells with purchase. Shells are easy to come by.
Stock is the traditional German style with cheek piece. Wood is in great condition with normal handling marks. No major cracks or chips. Gun has all original finishes as far as I can tell. This is a special opportunity to own and shoot a vintage game gun. This Sauer is worth more than I'm offering it for, so please no low-ball offers. Reasonable offers will be considered. I would like to see it go to someone who will put it to good use. Call with questions or to come and look at it.
