Temporary Janitorial

Job Summary:

Being a safe team player that is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoo carpets, and empty trash receptacles.

Essential Duties:

1. Sweep and mop floors.

2. Cleans buildings by emptying trash, sweeping and cleaning surfaces.

3. Proper use of cleaning solutions to remove stains and cleaning surfaces.

4. Mix various cleaning agents.

5. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.

6. Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.

7. Apply wax to coat floors and buff.

8. Clean and disinfect bathrooms.

9. Identify and report possible repairs.

10. Operate motorized equipment for cleaning.

11. Experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

12. Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulation, established company safety procedures and State and Federal environmental regulations.

Other Duties:

1. Safely operate all vehicles and other job related equipment.

2. Perform other duties as assigned.

3. The proper use of step stools and ladders.

4. The proper use of PPE and tooling.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Good verbal and written communications.

2. Self-directed, able to act independently and make sound decisions.

3. Ability to perform physically demanding work with or without mechanical assistance.

Education and Training:

1. Previous janitorial experience.

2. High school diploma.
